This course offers comprehensive training focused on hijack prevention and security awareness, providing you with the skills to identify potential threats and respond effectively.
Objectives:
- To improve awareness, enabling you to pre-empt a possible attack and avoid it.
- How to get yourself, children, and passengers safely out of the vehicle in the event of a hijacking.
Theory:
- Motivation behind attacks and factors that lead to them.
- Popular locations and current modus operandi:
- Driving in/out of driveway: automatic & non-automatic gate
- Housebreaking & dog poisoning
- While stationary at traffic light/stop sign
- Smash & grab attacks
- While stationary alongside the road
- Filling stations
- While stationary in a parking area, e.g., shopping mall (remote jamming)
- Relay attacks (keyless entry) – how to prevent
- Armed robbery at shopping malls
- Blue light hijacking: bogus police/traffic officers
- Spikes on the road/objects on freeway
- Travel on the freeway & “freeway fishing”
- Cash-in-transit robbery: how to react
- Kidnapping in South Africa
- How to identify if you are being followed and how to react
- Risks while driving at night and how best to overcome them
- How to react during an attack, should you fall victim to the crime

Duration:
- The course lasts for one and a half hours.
- Training can be conducted on-site for larger groups or online for medium groups.
