ADVANCED DRIVER TRAINING PACKAGES
4×4 Driver Training
The Basic 4×4 Driver Training program is offered at the nearest car dealership in their boardroom, with the practical sessions held either at De Wildt or Groenkloof Nature Reserve.
The session is structured as follows:
- 08:00 – 13:00 Theory
- 13:00 – 13:30 Lunch
- 13:30 – 14:00 Drive to 4×4 course
- 14:00 – 16:30 Practical Training
Each driver receives a Certificate, and the cost is R1 850 per vehicle. An additional R300 if the passenger also wants a certificate.
Advanced Driver Training Level 1
A 1-day session covering:
- Inertia
- Active & Passive Safety Features
- Accident Avoidance
- Practical Driving Session
Cost: R1 500 per person, minimum 4 per session.
Advanced Driver Training Level 2
A 2-day session including:
- Vehicle design, dynamics & traction
- Accident Avoidance & Accident Survival
- What happens to your body during a car crash?
- Driving observations, including LWA, SIPDE & Peripheral Vision
- Practical Driver Training & Assessment
- Stopping Distance Demonstration
Cost: R2 500 per person, minimum 4 per session.
Advanced Driver Training Level 3
A 3-day session based on SAQA Unit Standard 377201 – Defensive Driver Training:
- Vehicle Safety Features
- NCAP
- On-Road Training & Driver Assessment
- Skidpan session (Understeer & Oversteer Corrections, Traction & Stability Control, ABS & Non-ABS, Emergency Lane Change)
- Theoretical Assessment – Minimum 80% pass rate
- Practical Assessment – Minimum 80% pass rate
- Stopping Distance Demonstration
Cost: R3 550 per person, minimum 6 per session.
